Fantastic board-short! I am actually one of those old school guys that don't like the "stretchy ultra-thin" style board-shorts that have become so big as of late (or "premium" A.K.A. "super cheap and thin and look like your girlfriends shirt cotton t-shirts" either...), all they do is show off your sopping wet ocean cold dong and it looks like $hit (same with the shirts, even if you are ripped, they look like old worn out cheap $hit). I like regular weight clothes, not heavy duty corny lookin' farm style work clothes, but a good regular weight cloth. "premium" and "stretch" clothes are just ways of selling you cheaper $hit and marketing the item as "super comfortable..." Seriously, stop buyin' the stuff kids, you're just payin' more for less... (and truthfully the "stretchy" "premium" junk is kind of a throw back to the stretchy polyester dog $hit from the 70's and it didn't look good then either lol. Alright enough of the old man lecture. Let's get down to the build... These are a nice regular weight board-short, they have the usual quick-dry inside and a heavy duty double stitched seam (they also do not show your mancockery when wet). I know what you guys are sayin' "try doing performance surfing in them..." Well, ya know what, I've been surfing & skimmin' for a long dam time now and have never had an issue with these kinds of shorts, if they are really really stuck to your leg it takes a millisecond un-stick them. As for the seam, well, yes you are probably going to get some chafe from these seems, that's what talc powder is made for chillins (groms... whatever the f***-ever) but truthfully anyone that has done extensive surfing or skim-boarding even in "stretchy" board-shorts knows that this is going to happen regardless (in fact, unless you're surfing naked with baby oil rubbed between the legs this IS going to happen), it's just part of the sport, like sun burns, puffy eyes, or sand in every orifice... Again I recommend medicated talc powder down there for after-surf-chafe, it'll do you wonders. But again I digress, fantastic board-short, great mid weight material, classic over-the-top neon beach style pattern that could be worn in the 80's, 90's, 00's, or the twenty-teens, Really just a nice Hurley classic... Buy 'em.
