I am absolutely dumbfounded at how well these things work! I'm usually pretty fidgety when something is on my nail but these things are so smooth and unobtrusive! Stays on for a week at a time! Unfortunately, the vertical split I have in my nail will likely never go away, but this keeps things from snagging on it and making it worse. I gave some to my sister and she is having the same great results!My toe nail had a deep split on the side and I didn't want to cut it off because the split was at a angle. I seen a woman use these on a YouTube video so save her nail so I ordered it and it definitely works. I just placed where the split was and filed it a Little to make it smooth then painted over it.These nail bandages are amazing!!! I seem to always have at least one snag on my fingernails that I can't file away -- they need to be grown out -- so of course they get worse. Well these are a game changer. They are instant and completely fix the problem. No More Snagging!!! And they are amazingly durable, apparently waterproof, and long-lasting. I have even peeled one off and repositioned it for re-use! And they're practically invisible. You have to know it's there to look for it. I am delighted to have found these! Many thanks to those who have given it positive reviews.I have a split nail that just wont heal. I got this in hopes that it would keep the nail together long enough for the damaged part to grow out. But as it loses it's stick and you have to take it off and put on a new one you have 2 options. Pull it off (and do more damage to part of what is slowly repairing) or soak it off with acetone (and again. Do more damage to what is healing)It also is very hard to get it to go on Exactly flat enough for the nail to be flat. Any movement and it isn't flat anymore. Now you have an uneven split with tape over it. It is clear enough to not look obvious which I liked.I've always had soft, flimsy nails that peel apart in layers for no reason. If I need to wash a lot of stuff by hand, it gets worse (and I can't stand things on my hands like gloves). I've tried using oils and other stuff you rub into your nails/skin but they don't seem to make any difference. My left index finger tore almost into the nail bed and i wanted to protect it until it could grow out enough. i bought a packet of these vinyl nail bandages and a packet of silk ones, tried them both. These worked out fine for me, gave me 3-4 days for my nail to grow, I removed it and replaced it so I'd have a whole week of new growth which was enough time. I also tried the silk ones on another nail suffering the same problem but right from the get-go, the silk patch was raggedy along all of the edges since it is fabric and I could not get the edges smooth, they kept catching on things which would pull on it slightly so by the end of a day, the patch was coming off and catching even worse so I took it off and replaced it with the vinyl patches. I do paint several coats of clear nail polish over the patch and nail. This works for me but it won't improve the health of your nails, just make it so they don't tear so badly you bleed and expose your fingers to bacteria and stuff. i guess i could have just used Nexcare Bandages but these cover just the nails so don't make me feel quite so smothered.I enjoy my long nails and it’s annoying when one gets a crack or a partial break (especially when it’s low on my nail and would/could hurt!). My previous method of ‘saving’ my nail was nail glue - an acceptable, messy alternative that works, but then I need to put up with the ‘bulk’ of nail glue that invariably winds up under the tip of my nail. I went in search of silk wraps to glue over a low break and came across these transparent patches, and thought, for the price I’d give them a try. I am beyond thrilled! Stupid-easy to use! Moments to repair! I did use “ Barielle One Step Nail Mender” (recommended to use in conjunction with) as a top coat, and it’s been more than a week, and they’re holding beautifully. BTW - in my photos, I have patches on 2 nails! Thank you❣️?My nails tend to split sideways inside of the quick so i was looking for something that would keep them from snagging on everything until they grew out. These didn't stay on for even a day. A cut up tea bag and a little crazy glue works much better!What a gem this product is.Easy to use and long wearing. The bond is very good and not noticeable at all either with or without nail polish.Excellent product. The brand I used to use "improved" them and the new version is useless (they made them easy to peel off the backing, but this means they also peel straight off the nail!!), so have switched to these. they are fiddly to get off the backing but once on the nail they stay put for ages and are invisible under polish, allowing breaks to grow out. they also arrived much quicker than expected, just the job!I have found this these last longer if you apply a clear topcoat over the little bandageGift for a friend, who was delighted, but did not use myselfDoesnt stick very wellBrilliant little stickers that have covered the crack down my thumbnail allowing it to grow out without catching.
