The Greens+ Plusbar Protein Bar is my perfect mid-day treat or in some cases a fast breakfast. Since I love dark chocolate and get a whole array of organic nutrients and superfoods at the same time, it's a no-brainer for me. 15g of Protein and only 260 calories. Highly recommend.Bought this one without chocolate covering thinking it wouldn't be so sweet. It's less sweet but still has a lingering over sweetness to me. I think they could get away with toning down the sweetener a little bit more.Love them, but, please ship in box, not padded envelope.I use these as nutrition during my bicycle races as they are soft and can dissolve in my mouth. They travel well in pocket (no chocolate coating).Certainly one of the the better protein bars available (haven't tried their energy bars): they taste good and have good quality ingredients. But don't let the whole 'superfood, Green+' trick you into thinking you're eating some fresh produce - they are quite high in simple sugars with lots of agave syrup, so basically you're eating a better candy bar with a nice dose of whey protein :)Nevertheless, if you're looking for a high protein bar that has better quality micronutrients, you've found it!I prefer their energy bar much more because of the texture and better flavor but this bar is pretty good as well. I’d like the protein content to be higher but it’s still good enough with a great all around macro and micro nutrient content. A little tough but it’s so clean compared to most all other protein bars.As others have stated, do not order this product if the weather is hot. You will receive melted, degraded bars.But outside of that, the product formulation has changed. Trader Joe's used to carry these bars (so did Whole Foods) for $1.99 a bar. The bars were slightly sweet at that point, and that was after going through a formula change. I know the company was sold. The bars were manufactured in Vero Beach, Florida. They are now manufactured in California.As others have stated, the bars are now granular, gritty and much sweeter than previously formulated. The old formula did not contain agave, which is not a health food and significantly higher in fructose than high fructose corn syrup - do not eat it if you are trying to be healthy.My bars were not expired, but they did arrive melted and in poor condition. Compared to a previous order, the bars I received do not taste as good as they previously did. They taste sugary. Also, the packaging for these bars is not sealed. So when my order arrived, four of the 12 bars were missing. Amazon did issue me a full refund, but save yourself the trouble and order a different product. This product is no longer the excellent product it used to be.I used to LOVE these bars but what the heck happened? They used to be perfect, I lived on them!They are a total mess to eat (so eating one on the run is NOT an option), and most of the bar is either left in the package as you can see, or it crumbles and falls off into your lap. A total bummer. Wish I could have put my money towards bars that are actually great instead of this.Dense and dry. Was hoping it would be on par with the energy bar they offer, but it's not. My son says it's better then others he's tried, but like the title states, that's a low bar.The search for the holy grail of protein bars continues...
