The back of the shoe has thick plastic. Too stiff around the ankle for me but to be fair they might break in over time. Looks good but not good enough for running.Go have size smaller then what you would normally wear. Shoes can and will always stretch They are also wide which is fine by me. Comfy as f*** though. And with this colour I highly recommend a good quality cleaner and stain repellent.
